Abstract

The current trends in the modern banking business of the developed market economy countries can be generalized and formulated the following main directions: technological revolution in the banking sector; Deregulation of financial markets and liberalization of banking legislation; Increase in the share of new banking products due to a decrease in the share of traditional services; Investment banking development; Consolidation of bank capital; Unification and standardization of banking activities; Updating the business processes of banks and transforming the organizational structure.

 The trends typical for the banking activities of the world's leading economies are more or less significant for the reality of Georgia, since it is still one of the developing economies and its position is influenced by global trends, as well as the state of the country's economy and development prospects.
